Purpose:  To positively impact our neighborhood and community by investing in the continued education of two graduating Tahitian Village seniors.
Tahitian Village Property Owners’ Association (POA) and Architectural Control Committee (ACC) together will award a:

  1. $2,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior planning to attend a college/university
  2. $2,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior planning to attend a trade/vocational school.

Guidelines:

  • The student MUST currently reside in Tahitian Village.
  • Only complete applications will be considered.
  • All information should be typed or neatly printed.
  • Applications MUST be submitted by Friday, April 19th, 2024 by 4:00 pm to the Tahitian Village Property Owners’ Association office located at 112 Park Lane; Bastrop, TX (NO exceptions and NO late submissions will be allowed).  Our office is in the northeast corner of the BCWCID building.
  • Checks will be issued:
    • college/university scholarship: June 18th or the July 16th POA meeting.
    • trade/vocational: June 3rd or the July 1st ACC meeting.
  • The decision of the scholarship committee is final and cannot be reviewed or challenged.
  • Applications and guidelines are available on our website (tahitianvillage.org) or available in the Tahitian Village POA Office.

Scholarship Criteria/Checklist:

  1. Completed application (typed or neatly printed)
  2. Recommendation letter from school counselor, teacher, coach or employer
  3. Proof of enrollment from the college, university, trade or vocational school the student will be attending
  4. Unofficial H.S. transcript including the most recent semester completed or a G.E.D.
  5. Resumé (which includes extracurricular participation and volunteer experiences)

Complete a 500 word essay from the following prompt: Explain how your chosen career or field of study could potentially impact Tahitian Village or any other community in which you may live.
